The 'Swedes' of the title are a platoon of the 130th Kyiv Territorial Defence Battalion, named after one of its members, Dima Shvtsev. Due to their daring actions, the unit has gained a cult status - they are said to be audacious and incredibly happy at the same time. "The Swedes" are ruled by rugby players - Kep, Lock, Zuk and Mors - professional athletes with championship titles to their credit. The line-up is completed by a fencer, a parachutist, an ultra-marathon runner, two accountants, cooks, a taxi driver and several engineers. Ordinary people who unexpectedly have to face the extreme reality of war.
