Open call for documentary filmmakers! The PITCHING FORUM is part of the industry programme of the 23rd MFF WATCH DOCS. 

Our purpose is to support exquisite documentary (feature-length) projects that raise the subject of human rights. Recently, it has gotten more difficult for human rights documentaries to get the necessary funds. For several years now, we have been supporting selected projects with microgrants. Now, we are also creating a platform for directors and producers to reach international experts and decision-makers. 

The FORUM will be held on December 4-5th and is open for: 

• projects in the late development stage or in production, 

• project with significant impact potential that is in the late production stage or in post-production. 

Filmmakers will have the opportunity to present their projects in front of experts and decision-makers from Europe and the USA. Projects selected will be able to get financial, creative and impact support from The Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.

We invite projects produced or co-produced in Poland. The PITCHING FORUM will be held in English.

The 23rd International Film Festival WATCH DOCS takes place in Warsaw on December 1-10th. It is one of the world's oldest film festivals dedicated to human rights. We present documentaries in which the struggle for individual rights meets the art of filmmaking. We create a space for courageous individuals on both sides of the lens and we prove that engagement matters
