As usual, the program of the 62nd Krakow Film Festival, which begins on Sunday, May 29, includes many documentaries devoted to social issues and human rights. As many as three of them have been nominated by WATCH DOCS, which means that they will be screened during this year's 22nd edition of our festival. Here are our nominations:

"The Hamlet Syndrome" - a new film by Piotr Rosolowski and Elwira Niewiera (responsible for, among others, "The Domino Effect" or "The Prince and the Dybbuk"), which deeply analyzes war trauma and the impact of the conflict in Donbass on Ukrainian society.

"Reconstruction of Occupation," a Czech montage documentary by Jan Ṥikl, who used unknown archival materials to create a harrowing and surprisingly topical picture in the context of the war in Ukraine of the unification of Czech society in the face of the invasion by Warsaw Pact troops in 1968 - and its subsequent disintegration.

"Boylesque" by Bogna Kowalczyk: the only Polish film in the international competition of the KFF, which has already managed to win recognition of the jury at the Hot Docs festival in Toronto, is a brilliantly conducted and painfully honest story of the oldest Polish drag queen - Lulla la Polacca.

The 62nd Krakow Film Festival will last until June 12, and the 22nd WATCH DOCS IFF will take place this year between December 2-11.
