The Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights has been organising the WATCH DOCS festival since its first edition. The Foundation supports people whose rights are violated, monitors compliance with democratic standards in Poland and conducts educational activities on human rights. Thanks to the Foundation's work, thousands of people have obtained legal support and the opportunity to fight for justice.

The HFHR intervenes in cases of human rights violations and participates in lawsuits, taking the side of those who often cannot count on other assistance. It also conducts educational activities, which include the WATCH DOCS film festival.
