Who is Alexey Navalny? Listen on 8th and 15th May on TOK FM Radio
Everyone has heard of Alexei Navalny. But this knowledge is usually quite shallow. We know that he fought against corruption. we know that he survived an attempted poisoning and that he is in prison. But have we really understood the context in which the Foundation for Fighting Corruption operated? How did Navalny become known as Putin's main opposition figure? And why are his views controversial in Europe? Together with Dr Agnieszka Bryc from the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Jakub Janiszewski will try to answer these questions in the programme "Sudden Substitution".
We invite you to listen to Jakub Janiszewski's two-part programme on 8 and 15 May at 10:00 am in Radio TOK FM.
You can also listen to the first part of the conversation on the radio's website.
We also encourage you to visit the virtual exhibition prepared by the European Parliament on the Sakharov Prize in the context of human rights in the world.
